Miami Fashion Designer
While visiting my roots, Miami, I connected with a childhood friend of my older brother, Niko Javan. Niko is a 305-native, specializing in music production, fashion, animation, and art. Upon stalking his Instag, I knew I had to collab with him.
I drove downtown and met Niko at his apartment. His clothing collection was unlike anything I had ever seen before, all eclectic handmade pieces adorned with safety pins, patches, and studs. Fur coats, denim vests, upcycled jeans, and unique shoes of all kinds. I was in fashion heaven! If I had to describe his style in words, I’d say something of avant-garde, modern punk, and anti-establishment high fashion. Niko was really friendly and welcoming, and I immediately felt his excitement to document his fashion creations. It’s always inspiring meeting other creatives who are successful in supporting themselves with their passion.
We grabbed a few outfits and headed towards Overtown & moseyed on over to the Perez Art Museum. Here’s how they turned out.
