The first time I visited the Paint Mines, I was mesmerized. The unending shale and sandstone caverns of stark white, reds, and oranges were otherworldly and destined for my camera. Instantly I was reminded of an Annie Leibovitz photograph of a blue surfer boy with bright pink hair. This imagery along with my obsession for extraterrestrial life forms inspired this photoshoot, which was a passion project aka “just for shits n giggles”. Ah, the things I do for art.
